Task: Continued prepping fuel tanks for assembly

Worked on the right fuel tank today. I was able to rivet the T-704 doubler bracket to the inboard rib.

I then used the extra wing access plate as a template for the fuel sender relocation in the baffling. This is so the flop tube doesn't hit against the sender. I still need to figure out how I want to drill the large center hole.

Next came the trap door that must be fabricated on the second inboard rib to prevent fuel from transfering to the outside of the tank during knife-edge and inverted flight. I made a little door out of 0.25 that was 1.75" x 1.75" square. Then I used some extra hinge material to make the hinge for the trap door.

Lastly, I riveted it to the rib and door. Works great!

All tank parts have been edge deburred and hole deburred. Only a few more things left to complete before the tanks can be assembled. I'm still waiting to receive a pair of tank dimple dies in the mail from another RV builder that is lending them to me.
