Task: Finished both ailerons!

I took the left aileron off the jig and placed it between two pieces of wood to keep it flat. There can be no twist in the ailerons as it would affect controllability greatly.

Then I riveted the leading edge skin to the counterbalance with CS4-4 pulled rivets and squeezed the rivets on the leading edge skin to the bottom of the nose ribs. CS4-4 rivets were also used to join the two skins to the bottom of the main spar.

Now onto the right aileron! Same routine, twice as fast.

Removed from the jig, set the rivets on the leading edge to nose ribs, and then placed back on the jig.

Main ribs put into place and clecod into position.

Riveted the leading edge to counterbalance, bottom of the nose ribs, main ribs to aft skin, and finally the line of CS4-4 pulled rivets along the bottom of the main spar.

Both ailerons completed!!
