Time: 2.0 Task: Finished right landing light lens
This morning I finished the right landing light lens. I first
made a rough cut with the band saw, affixed the retainer strips
to the lens and marked the outter edge.
Next I covered the outside of the lens with tape so the band
saw table wouldn't scratch it.
Then I cut it to final size and sanded the edges.
Next came the leading edges. Now that the landing lights are
finished (but not yet installed), we can rivet the leading
edges to the main spar. I removed them one last time, cleaned
up the edges and wiped the spar down.
On goes the right leading edge!
Then the left!
