Task: Finished the left side of the HS.

Today I hand squeezed HS-601PP to HS-706, HS-405, and HS-404. All that remains is to do the right side and then rivet in place the rear spar. A good friend and fellow RV builder has agreed to be our technical inspector for this project. Rob Hickman is the owner of Advanced Flight Systems, manufacturer of the most popular and capable EFIS in the experimental market. He has built two beautiful RV's so we look forward to his advice

HS-404 and HS-405 ribs in place. Note the 5 holes that are empty. They are for the empennage fairing. I've heard a lot about the fairings available for RV's that are much sleeker and a tighter fit than the stock Van's fairing. It only requires 2 screws on each side rather than 5. I need to do more research on them but it looks promising. Luckily we have plenty of time before that time comes.
