Task: Finished priming right side HS parts and began assembly of rear spar

Today felt very productive! I started in the morning by priming the rest of the HS parts. I then marked the dried parts with their part numbers and corresponding sides. Once Van's opened at 7:30am I sought advice regarding HS-405 edge distance for the hole that goes though HS-702 and the skin. They said it was a very common issue and not something that mattered. He said that flange can even be cut off if the hole is too close to the edge. Build on!
The day finished with the assembly of the rear spar. I started with the hand squeezer and realized really quick that it wasn't going to cut it. I was tired after 5 rivets! I brought out my 2x gun and drove away. It went really well and was a great learning experience. I started on some scrap with my new tungstun bucking bar. That thing is worth every penny!

I wrapped several 1/8 clecos with tape to insert into holes that are to be left open for future rivets/screws/attachement.

First rivets! They look good on the shop end!

The rear spar, finished!

The center bearing still needs to be torqued down. I will have to see if I can fins someone with a good torque wrench that reads in ft/lbs
