Task: Laid some more micro last night and sanded this morning

I received some advice from our local airport fiberglass guy. He suggested I completely close off the gap between the HS tip and the elevator tip to make the fiberglass flow better. I started by cutting out a piece of 1./8" cardboard the size of the gap and inserting it between the two tips. The fit was tight enough that the elevator wasn't able to move with the fiberglass in place. I then aligned the elevator so it was perfectly in-trail with the HS.

So I laid down some painters tape and mixed micro to a peanut butter consistency. I laid it down with a squeegy and let dry overnight.

This morning I sanded down the micro with a block sander and then used a hack-saw to cut through the crack. It worked VERY well and led to a very even edge. I was surprised at how easy this was.
