Task: Fitted the tips onto the HS, VS, Elevators, and Rudder. Checked alignment and riveted the right elevator and rudder tip into place. Mixed up some flox and put a fillet on the edges of the balsa wood.

After letting the reinforcement strips 24hrs to dry, I clecod them all into place to check for fit.

There is a small gap on the right elevator, but it will later be filled before paint. I did have to file the lead weight a bit to ensure an even fit.

The rudder tip fit well once clecod in place.

The left elevatator tip took a little more filing.

Here is the right trip riveted in place with CS4-4 pull-rivets.

And the rudder tip riveted in place.

Here are the three HS and VS tips with balsa wood to close off the gap. They were expoxied in last night so we mixed up some flox for the first time.

Flox is epoxy thickened with cotton fiber. I made this to a mayonnaise consistency.

Here is the nice fillet we produced with the flox. Next will be to lay in glass for reinforcement.
