Task: Worked on drilling the rudder fairing, dimpling the skins for the fairings, and shaping the HS skins for the elevator counterbalance skins.


I drilled #40 and clecod the rudder fairing into place. I then expanded the holes to #30.


I then fabricated a 0.5" strip of .032 aluminum to use as a reinforcement plate for the rivets. I used cleco clamps to hold the strip into position for drilling.


After all the fairings were countersunk and reinforcement strips were fabricated and deburred, I prepped the area for expoxy. I realized I didn't have any stiring sticks or mixing containers so I put the epoxying on hold for the evening.
